Disney & Pixar magic on Netflix UK

Some of the magical movies from Disney and Pixar, available now on Netflix UK.

Peter Pan (1953)

The Princess & the Frog (2009) -  Following several lacklustre movies, this was a return to decent storytelling for Walt Disney animation, and their first hand drawn feature in five years.

Tuck Everlasting (2002).  Most notable for its impressive supporting cast - this is a sentimental but enjoyable movie, touching similar "eternal life" territory as Twilight - but without the vampires.

Robin Hood (1973).  One of the few decent animated movies to emerge from Disney in the two decades that followed the death of its founder.  Check out the similaries to The Jungle Book - the last animated feature that Walt worked on.

Four movies from the Disney-Pixar vault are available.  Three are absolute classics; ratatouille, wall-e and Up.  The fourth, cars 2, is really very poor.  An example of Pixar's sudden decline in quality storytelling, and the start of a depressing over reliance on sequels.

Finally a couple of movies that combine animation and live action.  The all time classic Mary Poppins and the less celebrated, but enjoyable Pete's Dragon.
