Netflix have announced one of their biggest forays into original television production to date. They have joined forces with Disney's Marvel Television to make four live action series (of 13 parts each), based on four Marvel characters. The first shows will debut on the streaming service in 2015.
The four characters are (pictured in order) Daredevil (the rights of which recently returned to Marvel Studios from Fox), followed by Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. The setting for the series is the underworld of Hells Kitchen. The shows will be unveiled over a period of years, leading to mini series event; The Defenders.
